New features upcoming after the Jam (Patch 0.1.0)
After the great reception the game had in the Jam and the lovely comments you all left, I’ve decided to keep developing it and have already drafted the first roadmap for the upcoming versions. As you know, during the Jam we couldn’t add new features (only bug fixes), so this patch will be released afterward.
I’d like to share a preview of patch 0.1.0, which will include a new leveling and experience system, as well as a pop-up window displaying unit information (this wasn’t in the Jam version, and I think it’s essential to know your units’ status). Here’s the image:
Additionally, I’ll be adding two new units—both for allies and goblins: the Riders (fast units effective against archers) and the Area-Damage units (they’ll deal damage over a wide area). I don’t have art for them yet, since the free asset pack doesn’t include these, so I’ll need to create the pixel art from scratch.
I hope you enjoy it, and thanks again for all the encouragement during the Jam (I don’t know how the game will turn out, but even if it ends up rough, I’ll treasure all the positive feedback).
